We are yet to receive Count order Sacking Eze Aro -Abia State Government

Abia State Government has dismissed the rumour making the rounds that the staff of the office of the newly crowned Eze Aro, Dr. Eberechukwu Oji has been
withdrawn from him, adding the state government did not receive any court order to that effect

Recall that Abia State High Court sitting at Nkwoagu Isuochi presided over by Justice Chido Nwakanma on July 31, ordered the newly crowned  king of Arochukwu ancient kingdom His Eminence Dr Eberechukwu Oji, to restrain from parading himself as Eze Aro.

The order was sequel to a suit filed by the President General, Ibom Isii, Mazi Adolphus Nwankwo  and others on behalf of all concerned Umu Aro for Justice and Equity from the 19 villages of Arochukwu kingdom.

Responding to the development, Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma described the rumour as baseless.

"The rumor is false, it's baseless , it's unfounded. It's the government that issues staff of office ,it's the government that recognizes every Eze. When you are crowned you are issued with the staff of the office, you are given a certificate and those processes were completely adhered to. No person who has not been recognized, who has not gone through the process has the locus to challenge the coronated Eze. The government has not gotten any court order"

The claimants to the suit, argued that HRM Eze Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke was already crowned as at October 20, 2023 prior to the institution of the suit.
